Wong Tze Chau
I love art since young and my background in architecture has been keeping me in touch with the world of art and design. It was in 2010 when I started to paint seriously after being influence by the philosophy of Friedrich Schiller. He claimed that creative arts can transform human spirit and I was curious to see how it works. While working as a part time lecturer at Republic Polytechnic I devoted most of my time on painting.
Since 2011 I have participated in some group shows in Singapore, Thailand and India. There was a breakthrough in 2018 as I had my first solo show at a commercial gallery in Singapore. After two attempts I was overjoyed to win the UOB Painting of the Year (established category) in 2019.
I strongly believe in the transformative power of arts. I always strive to create artworks that are both visually appealing and thought-provoking.
My ultimate goal is to create a bridge between different realms. The world is increasingly divided but I believe that there is harmony if we see beyond differences.
The ancient concept of Oneness has always been fascinating to me. I believe that all beings are connected through interdependence. If we look deeply, stripping away all the masks and outer forms, we would find the same core hidden within every being.
Ying and Yang evolve from Oneness and eventually return to the origin.
We have a lot more of stunning collections in our flagship gallery and can be custom crafted for you too.
