HuYang (胡杨) or Populus euphratica, also known as the “HERO TREE”, is a plant of the subgenus Populus of the Willow family which often grows in the desert. Its strong vitality stands up to extreme climates. “胡杨精神 – Spirit of HuYang” : "Populus euphratica lives for a thousand years and will not die, remains standing upright for a thousand years even after it dies, and will not decomposed for the next thousand years." “胡杨生而千年不死，死而千年不倒，倒而千年不烂”。
